As the amount of people making threads about converting their CFI to MPI is sky-rocketing, it's about time somebody took action

Sundeep and I are going to make a tutorial on the conversion but we are missing something that is crucial to making it, a CFI EA. We need your CFI EA! And we need it next weekend!

If you can get all the parts by next Saturday or Sunday we will come to you and do the conversion for you. All you have to do is supply lunch and milkshakes :s5: <----- Sundeep loves milkshakes.

Conditions:
You need to beable to get all the parts by next saturday morning.
Beable to be free all day.
A clean area (undercover if raining) to work in.
Located in Melb
Provide lunch

If you can get the parts together by next weekend and are willing to do this, post here and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We garuntee that the car will be going at the end of the day barring things out of our control such as faulty parts.

Parts list is as follows :

*MPI manifold which includes all related sensors, hosing, lower thermostat housing with heater hose pipes connected, wiring, fuel rail, injectors etc.

*A/C compressor mounting bracket
*MP Fuel pump
*ECU (can be 3 speed, 4 speed, 5 speed but must be for 3.9 MPI model)
*Dipstick tube
*Dual TPS (4 speed models)
*MP Distributor with or without TFI
*Airbox with filter and intake hose
*Intake manifold gasket
*Length of heater hose
*Brake booster vacuum hose
*Various sized hose clamps
*MP Throttle Cable

That's all I can think of now.

hey guys, i want to say i am really interested because i have wanted to get this done but it is very expensive. i have a eb series 1, so would this be ok as well? and i just wanted to ask how much all the parts would cost, round abouts in total, and are they easy enough to get. the other thing is, i live in ballarat, but i dont care i can come to you guys if u want. it sounds like a damn good deal, but i cant comit to anything as u would understand. its really good of u guys to do something like this too! good onyas.

EB series 1 is still the 3.9 engine and doesnt have any complications of smartlock. Not that you would ever run intoi this problem as there was no 4.0 cfi engines. Parts can cost from $176 in my case to around $350. Your best bet would be to take that list to a wrecker and ask for a price on the whole lot.

Crowbar: I just spoke to a guy I know in Cobram who is going to see if he can rustle up all the gear you would need and get a price. If your definitly interested by all means give a wrecker a call :)

i might beable to get it done but ill need to try to get the parts from wreckers tommorrow so if i can get the parts then ill let you pull apart my car!
