I was looking in the XR6 Turbo ute opions and I noticed that air con is not standard. How come? Also the prices. The utes used to be about $ 9 000 cheaper than the sadans now they are about the same price now. The Holden VY SS is $49 490 the ute $39 490 XR6 Tubo ute is almost $40 000 and now you only get Drivers air bag.

From what I can see on the brochure, air con is a no cost option.

A NCO? It just strikes me to make something such as air con something you have to specify but at no cost? Strange.

If there is a good reason for this someone please enlighten me.

Air con is standard on XR model utes not on others. Why I don't know should be standard on everything these days.

Not 100% sure on the technical difference between Prestige and Premium audio but I know Premium has the colour LCD screen in the front and Prestige doesn't. I guess Premium has better speakers, higher output and so on. This might not be possible in the ute due to having no rear space for additional speakers, sub, amp and whatever else Premium has.

from what i know the prestige sound only has teh six speakers, and only offers the six stacker. Doesnt come with the extra speakers or colour TFT screen.

BTW the old AU3 XR6 utes like mine didnt come with passenger air bags either, but then again it was like 10 grand cheaper then the sedan unlike the new one.

if you go play with the configurator then air con is listed as an option even on the xr ute. that was last time I looked a few days ago
