Had the air cleaner off the XF yesterday and noticed one of the vacuum lines to the carb has been plugged with a screw and the vacuum port on the carb just left open.
This must have been done by the mechanic when the carb was rebuilt about a year ago.
Does anyone know what this vacuum line does and what the effect of having it disconnected like this does? It's a 4.1, 3 speed auto.
