Im looking to improve my EA beyond simple rims + cam.
The long term plan is to install an EF/L Interior (hopefully full leather, but may settle for Fairlane Velour) EF/L full dash assembly, EF/L 4.0l with full smartlock, and ECCV.
My question is, with this extent of modifications, i would assume that obtaining an entire wrecked car from auction would be the cheaper way of doing it, rather than getting parts from a wrecker. So, has anyone been to a wrecked car auction, and seen the prices of the following cars
EA Ghia
ED Ghia
EF/L Fairmont, Fairmont Ghia, Fairlane Ghia, LTD's
help would be much appreciated

you will probably looking at around 5 grand depending on how bad it is, and also the dash change over requires some extensive modifications just ask chrisnee about it he knows a fair bit about it. You would be better off buying what you want from the wreckers, just keep looking around bargains can be found.
I also did purchase an EB fairmont ghia last week from fowles, it set me back 4500 and hasnt got that much damage.
check in the for sale section jamie. A guy has done it with pics and he is selling the car. His name starts with k and has a z in it, LOL i know thats not much help, but it will be in the for sale section of either the e series or market place forums.

i think getting a wrecked car is the best thing to do, you will have all the little bits that you will spend ages at the wreckers hunting for and paying a million bucks for - get a wrecked car and strip it, and all the stuff you dont want you can sell again, prolly to people on these forums!!
