XA Coupe I.D.
Hey - thought one of you guys may be able to help!
I own a xa coupe # JG65NM80410 - i live in NZ and the car was imported in 1991 by a previous owner - the problem i have is that it is missing its origional i.d. tags, i cannot locate the origional owner - i requested an old vehical report from ford australia but they say they have no records on the vehicle at all!! How common is this?
The only information that i have on the vehicle is its chassis number as stated, i am pretty sure that it no longer has its origional engine as it now has engine # JG34NN79587K which is a 302 Fairmont engine? Another point that leads me to this conclusion is that when it was first imported here it had a 7L in her - 429 interceptor?
It has a few other bits and pieces in her as well - fully instrumented dash GS/GT, C4 turning 8 3/4" diff - also 12 slotters 14x8 & 14x10, havnt seen any other 10" 12 slotters in NZ - how common are these?
As it is in the middle of a resto i really need to find out its origional factory specs before i can go any further!!
Can anybody help - any information or advice would be much appreciated!!
