XD falcon, idler arm

I was wondering if there is a better, set up for steering. I have noluthane bushes in the idler at moment. have been in there for about ten years,, has got play again, I running 460, headers are close to it. Not the best for bushes. I have seen sealed bearings fitted to an Idler on one race car. I would Ideally like to have a rack in there, any Ideas,, or has someone done this mod.

Hello,

There is a conversion to a rack and pinion and " struts " using the lower control arm. Google and see what you find. ( sorry, I dont have a link )

RRS make a rack and pinion conversion for early Falcons, but you will think you are buying a whole car, $2,500 plus.
