Does anyone know the weight of an XD 351 sedan. Only difference is i have a 9 inch. Anyone that races weighed theirs? Ive been told by some that it is 1400kg, and by other 1750kg? Big difference...
Read an article a while ago about Dick Johnson's XD Falcon, they had them homologated at 1360kg which was the 6 cyl weight, I think they said the V8 was closer to 1600 - I'll check. Other than that, does anybody have a owners manual or old Wheels/Modern Motor/Car Australia?
Thanks guys, it gives me an idea on weight. I spose i will just get it weighed when i get it up and running again. NOS347, u might have to line us up with Abby again in a couple a months time.
I have an XD Fairmont with a 351 (factory, except the manual 4 speed is now a manual 5 speed) and the sticker says 1400. They were a light car for their size, so I'd think it'd weigh around the 1400 mark.

I think i will weigh on a weighbridge when i get rid of 25kg or so(cast heads)and get back on the road. Yeah its me NOS 347. I am pulling the g/box and motor this week end(finally, ive been meaning to for 4 weeks). I have some new alloy heads to go on, plus it will bring the compression up from 9.5 to 10.6 to suit the cam. I sold the 850 Barrygrant the other day, and just today got my new 750 DP Mighty Demon. I just finished putting it on. It is so much more responsive at idle. Should of went 750 DP years ago instead of the 850. I cant beleive how good it runs from the box. I didnt even touch the idle screws. Finally some luck for a change..... Rgds Dion.
