XE Auxiliary Fuel Tank

Hi,

Im rebuilding an XE Fairmont Ghia, its a standard 351 with a standard fuel tank. Im wondering if anyone can advise on a cheap option of increasing the fuel capacity.

Im currently considering installing a datsun skyline tank which should bolt up neatly behind the rear seat and in between the wheel arches in the boot. The only problem Ive struck with that is the tank is 50mm to high.

The car is being built for a childrens charity bash/rally.

Any suggestions or alternative ideas please let me know??

Cheers
Joe

Re: XE Auxiliary Fuel Tank

Mabey try a smaller jap car for a smaller tank. Corrolas and geminis ets all had tanks behind the seat, or mabey a fuel cell? Don't no what size fuel cells are out there but there'd have to be some big ones.

Or try the companies that make long range tanks for 4wd's.
