Can any one steer me in the right direction to get some info on this car. I was under the impression factory turbos were only fitted to ESP's but my son has come accross one for sale, the seller claims it is factory and it looks factory, I would just like to know for sure

To my knowledge, Ford never made a factory turbo Falcon before the BA.

I have come across one - an XE S Pack, EFI turbo, 200kw, sold new through a ford dealer, and came with factory warranty. From memory it was done through AIT, though that may need clarification. It had a ford letter with the vehicle covering the turbo conversion. It looked stock, apart from two louvered vents on the bonnet.

Sounds exactly like the one I took for a spin years ago. Great jigger it was too, went like sh!t off a shovel. 2 vents in the bonnet and a hole cut into the front airdam/bumper for a engine oil cooler. 4 speed, white with gold ESP snowflakes. Letter from AIT and Ford also.

The XE ESP came out with a turbo option.
The police also had a few XE turbos, not sure if these were also ESP models.

hmm not usre about s pak turbos...though there was a limited run of dick johnson turbos im sure. I think thye were grand prix editions or something.

Do a search on this page I think there have been threads before about this.

Thanks for the replies, he has brought it and it looks in preety good nick. It has the two vents in the bonnet, oil cooler and boot mounted battery. No one seem to know too much about them so I will keep looking

Does the car come with the owners manual?

The one I looked at a few years ago was dark metallic grey 4sp. Might be worthwhile contacting AIT or the Ford Discovery Centre to see if they have any further info. From the documentation I saw, there were 2 or 3 power output options available, biggest being 200kw

The one I saw also had an extra injector.
