XF advise engine re-build

I have an xf 4.1 alloy head motor it is stripped and ready for a make over.
have a 350 holly to go on. The engine needs a rebore at this stage i have 3 grand so were from now i want the most i can get out of the motor, i want it to sound sickley camy and goes to boot i know i will need a tranny overhaul and torq converter i have someone to buid it no problems but i would like to here from you guys what would you do ?. do i need to save more ? balenced head. etc etc who is a good supplier i have VPW catalouge. Are they good on price.who would you recomend
any adsvise is greatfully aprecitaed

Go buy an el or au motor , put a cam in it and an electronic dizzy with that holley off an adaptor , you will make good power cheap and its gonna be very drivable , hang a t5 off the back and add better brakes as well , you will have change out the 3k for suspension and a beer if you are careful
