Xf Power

i am going to put extractors and a 2 1/2 inch sports exhaust on my XF. are there any other cheap ways i can get more power? anything i can do to the carby.

also in autos when u sit on the brakes and push the accelerator to spin the wheels, does this **** up your brakes?

Re: Xf Power

replace the carby with a 350 holley & manifold to suit. then change you cam & have the heads ported.

Re: Xf Power

my 87 fairmont ghia is efi and 5 speed and i have trouble keeping it straight when i drop the clutch (factory 2.77 LSD). i have just put super lows and an EL XR8 rear axle (including 3.45 LSD) under it so i'll see how it goes tomorrow after the wheel alignment.

Re: Xf Power

best mod i reckon you can do is a manual conversion! and it's really not that expensive, i got a 4 speed conversion done for $600 drive in and wheel spin away

Re: Xf Power

So a manual conversion, 350 holly carby, cam, bore it out, head work and extractors and exhaust. also get rid of the fan and put 2 12 inch thermo fans in and an electric water pump. all this should give me a bit more power. its just having the money to do it all. might take me a few years.
