Xf Rim Legalities

the stock rims on an xf are 5.5x14" i think. does this mean the biggest rims allowed on it are 16"? i was some 17" or 18" and wonderin if its legal.

17" is the biggest allowed on a XF. Wide, not sure but the general rule is an inch wider than the widest available from factory for that model. I'll have a guess and say 8" wide.

fairmont came with 15/7 (so by that rule 1inch wider)
may pay you to go for 16/7 inch.

so if its going to be a daily driver i try to get a permit for 17/8inch and check with your insurance.

Yep, 2" taller and 1" wider is what's allowed.

The 15" by 7" were the snowflakes so you can fit 17" by 8" on a XF and don't need engineers as it's legal (in VIC.).

may be legal but if your driving anywear near perth the defect sticker go`s on.

might move to vic.
