XR6T without speed limited (PIC)

Hey guys check out this lunatic... I took the pic from XR6turbo.com... this guy claims to have no speed limiter in his XR6T.. and some mad-ass passenger leaned over to take the photo !!!!!!

Yeah been there before.

That temperature gauge is a little bit hotter than mine usually gets. Does the XR6T run hotter than the XR8?

possibly a fotoshop edit? cause that camera seems to be pretty centered or on a dyno???

Just out of interest, has anyone here removed the speed limiter from their E or B series Falcon?
If you have, do you know why Ford put it in?

i would be more curious as to the rev limiter. What revs does your ford get valve thrush abd strat bouncing???????????

IIRC, the original reports said the reason was due to the single piece drive-shaft and the need to limit increased vibration at high speeds.

The pic was photoshopped. The revs and speed don't match. That speed in an XR6T would not be at redline. The car is actually in park, but was photoshopped to make the gear display show a D for drive, but not a bad effort, fooled a few people.
