You will see the results of wet look diminish very quickly and it is not really easy to buff off. To find the best product, or best bang for your buck, try 2 products side by side. eg, divide your bonnet into 2 and apply a product on each half. Wait a few weeks and the water will stop beading on one side earlier than the other in a lot of cases. For the same money you get much longer lasting results out of Mothers Sealer & Glaze. I have tried about 20 off the shelf polishes and waxes and I prefer Autoglym Super Resin. It is more expensive but it's good value for money because it is so easy to use and results last for ages. On another part of this subject, it amazes me that people go to the trouble of polishing their car and they say they want to look after their pride and joy, you ask them what they use to wash their car and some say a car wash, others say dishwashing liquid or truck wash. I just mention that bit because you shouldn't expect miracles from a product when you destroy it by the way you wash it. Any top brand car wash will have you covered.
