does any one know the diferance between the au II and au III xr8's in kilowatts i think the series 2 has 220kw but what does the series 3 have . Are there any other peformance diferances between the two.

As of from May or June 2001 all XR8's were 220kw this was still in the AU II model's and then came AU III again being 220kw,so some AU II's were 200kw and some 220kw.

I remember reading somewhere that there were only 432 AUII XR8s produced before going over to the AUIII

01-Jun-2001 start of production for AU2 220kW. Before that they were 200kW. AU3 were all 220kW. 220 engines are spotted by having an oil cooler behind the upper grille.
