Question XR8 performance shops

Aside from herrods... are there any other people out thre who specialise in XR8 upgrades? i.e. exhaust, chip, cams, intake etc...

Not that I have anything against herrods but their pricing structure leaves me with very little to play with.

Re: XR8 performance shops

SVO or Mick Webb, I think he's in Ringwood in Melbourne,I dont know about $$$ though, and Herrod's pricing is pretty competive compared to other's, considering their top notch craftmanship, but it come's down to you get what you pay for.

Jim Mock is the only other I can think of. I presume you are in Melbourne, so I guess Bob Romano is out of the question as he is in Queensland.

Be very careful Full Throttle, engines don't come cheap. The SOB that built mine didn't put it together properly and it went BANG in a big way! (snapped crank, cracked block, melted pistons and 3 bent rods) and this guy is a well known Ford engine modifier. Personally I'd suggest shopping around and make sure you see the actual parts that are going into your engine to verify that they are not some backyard Taiwanese replicas.

Re: XR8 performance shops

sh!t sorry to hear about that mate.
To be honest it would make no difference if i was standing there or not...im not too flash at telling if a particular set of header pipes came from germany, taiwan or india!

Do you mind telling us where this place was? Just the name of the shop will do... no need to add any comments after as it might get you in trouble.
