My XT Falcon is currently getting a paint job, and while the engine is out I'll get that re painted too. I can't find the original colours for the block and rocker cover (all the manuals etc are b&w), and I think they might have been painted when it was reconditioned about 15 years ago. It's a 1969 3.6L 6 cylinder (221 ci). If anyone can give me any info I'd apprciate it - I'm trying to keep it all original.

I had the same engine in my XW and if i recall the whole motor was a pale blue quite like the background of the posts on this thread.

I have the same engine in my 69 XW and it is like Fordy said all Blue, you can buy a spray pack,I think it is called Ford Blue engine enamal or something like that.

I am not 100 % sure but I think the original engine in my XT ute was a green colour. I'll try and find some pictures or info.

i used to have the same motor in my XT, before i ripped it out, threw it away, and dropped in a V8. it was definitely a pale baby-blue colour

Thanks for the info everyone. The exterior is pale blue, so it looks like the engine might be the same colour???

Wouldn't be so sure that it was the same colour as the cars exterior

I have a feeling they may have been green with a cream rocker cover and air cleaner, but I could be wrong. Tote, a few posts above said his may have been green. It's worth checking up on before you get out the spray cans...

Your best bet would be to contact an 'Early Falcon' car club, maybe even someone at a GT club would know.
Failing that PM smincer1, he's pretty cluey on that type of stuff
