Just thought I would throw in a pic of the XT. Dead standard except for the grill and wheels. HUGE 221 3.6 which hasnt been dynoed yet but hoping for 50RWK!!!!! A Nana Maskouri cartridge has been stuck in the 8 track for about 20 years. Anyone attepted fixing these???

GT grille? Looks really nice, im thinking of getting the chrome striping from an XT to put on my XY wagon. Looks alot better imo.

There is an XR/T in Geelong done in acid rush, i see it around a fair bit. So they're out there, and looking mighty fine. Good luck with the buildup

that looks nice and straight mate, did XTs come with the GT style mirrors? Is that side moulding (top) a factory option ive never seen it before. What are you plans for her?

The GT grill and mirrors are not standard but the side chrome was an option at the time. I will be keeping it standard for the time being and see what happens down the track as my time and money is going into the Landau to get it finished. It is a two owner car, me being the third actually being bought when 12 months old in 1970 by my mrs grandpa! Has sat for 6 years but still starts and runs no problem.Starting to rust bad in the 1/4s and bottom of doors but the panels have never been dinted, scratched etc. Inside is absolutley spotless burgandy. Would love to get a pair of XR buckets for it though.

Yeah, I have an XT...a Fairmont, though, which was basically GT-spec, but had the woodgrain dash minus the guages.

I like 'em alot, especially because of their difference over XW's and XY's, but also their interior is subtly different, as well.

Go the mighty XT's. I myself have a XT Fairmont sedan with a mild 351c, c4 9 inch diff, 4 wheel disc brakes, lowered, custom retrimmed interior, I've managed to custom the dash by putting in the speedo and tacho from a XB GS dash, XT GT grill & lights, flame design alloy dragway wheels and finished off in polynesion green. Great car and hopefully will put some photo's up soon. Let us know how you get on when you start doing her up.

Yep...pics please 01fm. As rick says, they are different to XW -Y enough to stand out with so many of them floating around and the XR -T a bit more scarce.They have a stocky mean look compared to the longer look of the later, pick the right wheel and there stance is unmistakable!

Love it......One on Ebay at weekend. Red one Started at $5000 and was over 15,000 last time I looked! Get absolutely SHOT if I bid and won it!
