I have an XYGS but it was custom ordered with the 250 cast iron head, 3 on the tree, front bench seat and factory A/C. I rang Ford and the codes all match. My question is the car rare because it is custom ordered or not because it wasnt the standard V8 package, any advice?
Cheers P.S still has the original number plates ever fitted to the car.

I think its probably both but most of those will have been V8's so it will be one of a few 6cyl ones made. I would say it has a rarity value but the V8's will probably still be the ones people want most. Any tidy XY is a gem to have though regardless of the what engine it has. Nice car Groth.

Cheers I am undecided as to restore to original or build a nice street car which was the orginal intent.

I think build a nice street car to enjoy but keep all the original bits because you never know when you may want to put it back to original.
