Well my old cd/mp3 stuffed up a while back, and after loosing my reciept i managed to get it sent back on warrenty.

Yesterday i went to pic it up, but becase they dont make em anymore, i got a new one slightly better than the old.. well $200 better

This ones got remote, and detachable face (good for some areas i go to)

But unforunatley wont take anymore folders than the last (mp3)

Still stoked but :)

And it suits the interior better aswell

Funny thing about that. I don't use mine anymore! I find the quality of sound degrades a fair bit. That's just me though, I'm really picky!! Also with my JVC unit, fast-forwarding MP3s is a pain in the arse...

the fast forward of mp3s is deceiving - because theres no sound it seems slower than a normal fast forward, but its the same speed...

im very happy with my mp3 player, wouldnt go back to plain audio cd. being able to fit 10 albums on one disc is pretty handy.

Definitely not true, well for my unit anyway.

Regardless of quality, I usually can tell between a real audio CD opposed to a MP3 - that is why I am after sound quality, not SPL.

Quality on mines pretty good.
I only got standard speakers, not looking for anything special atm. Might be bit dodge with bugger system, but for now it does the job :)

Love having all of a bands albums on the one cd

That all depends on your setup, the actual encoder and decoder used, and the bitrate chosen. Double blind tests using encoders such as LAME at 256kbps have proven it extremely difficult if not impossible to pick the mp3 from the original source.

Of course, people will always debate that they can tell the difference...
