Re: Are You A Happy BA Customer

Overall I'm very happy - The BA XR8 is a pleasure to drive & apart from brake squeal, have had no problems.

23,100 and she's getting quicker and louder. Such a horny car but I'm getting bored.

If I could increase our XR6 N/A from the current 225kw to around 260kw.....Maaaattteee....Go the Vortech I need to do it!!!

Re: Are You A Happy BA Customer

Simple,

Couldn't afford it at the time. Wanted to trade in our AU III XR6 VCT and if I didn't act straight away, I wouldn't have got a $33,000 trade in on her. Refinanced, paid off the balloon and we are about $60 better off a fortnight starting fresh on a brand new BA.

I could have waited until a nice second hand T was available but the T is holding its value well. AU series were dropping in value so I decided to painfully go for the N/A. We are marginally better off. We could have only just afforded the repayments on a "T" but the insurance would have killed us for sure. I'm a rating 1 for life but my wife isn't.

Got bored so the car is now capable of annihilating a "T" off the mark thanks to a 2.5" exhaust with pacemaker headers, better breathing and ECU bypassed with a computer telling the car what it really can do. These Barra 182's kick tail. Barra 182, mmm, how about a Barra 225? That's what I'm running with no major work.

Only problem.....Once the T hits 3000rpm in 3rd gear and the hair dryer kicks in, it's GAME OVER. Oh well. At least I have a lightning fast Falcon off the line.

Still love it though, best Falcon I've owned.

Re: Are You A Happy BA Customer

15000km are up , and i'm still happy. The brakes were the only problem worth noting which are now fixed.
