If so, does it adjust itself in the case of wild swings in the fuel read out? For example... you put fuel in your car after standing on throttle all the way to the servo (fuel read out is 15-20 lt/100)... then you gently take off and cruise at less than 2000 rpm on an empty highway.

The computer resets itself based on the current avg l/100km and the amount of fuel left in the tank. If you have a bad previous l/100km when you fill up it will be lower and will adjust as the fuel economy changes. I have found after 1 year and 42,000km that it has become very accurate, I have never run out of fuel and it always shows 0km with about 2ltr to go as the fill up is about 66ltrs so it is fairly good
