Juan Sr Registered User Join Date: Oct 2010 Posts: 1	1984 Ford Tempo will not go faster than 25mph The Tempo is a automatic and it seems not to get out of first gear. I was told to check the Trans Downshift Controle if so . What does it look like and where can i find it

Posts: 84	Re: 1984 Ford Tempo will not go faster than 25mph Hi, sometimes a clogged catalytic converter can cause similar symptoms; You might want to disconnect it and see if that works.
