Hey guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone went to the trouble of changing their factory XR8 diff (3.23) to the XR6 diff (3.45)??

Is it worth the trouble? Just wanted that little extra kick down low without revving too high in the top end.

I can get one from a wrecker fairly cheap and fitted cheap as well. Just wanted top see if it would be worth it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ratio 3.99

Its worth it if your motor has bottom end torque.I changed the diff ratio in my ED 5ltr it had the pacemakers and head work the extra pickup was great probably since it picked up revs quicker.I lined mine against my mates you had the 3.23 ratio and simular mods and beat him by about 5 car lengths.hehehe

I changed from 3.27 to 3.45, and swapped in the LSD from an XR6 at the same time.
Would not have been worth the trouble otherwise.
