Hey guys (and Girls)

I have a slight problem

I am currently doing up a 65 XP coupe and dont know what trans to run. ive been getting all different reactions to the c4, c6 and the c10

I will be running a 302w, 9inch, little engine work (cams etc...)
i want a tuff streeter and cruiser and that wont be too hard on fuel

any sugestions

My XP coupe is running a C4. no issues or dramas for me. If you go to the right place they can build up a C4 to hold a fair amount of horsey's.. No chassis mods bolted in with a Castlemain Rod shop cross member.

Thanks for the help but the C4 is a 3 speed does it drink when cruising on 100, thats my only problem. what diff ratio are you running

if fuel is a concern you will have to either run a tall diff ratio, say 2.77, or have a later model 4 speed auto fitted, which would be tough, but anything is possible. All three boxes you have mentioned are 3 speed and can all handle plenty of horses if built right. Whichever fits the coupe best is probably the best option.

isnt a c4/c10 the same??
and the c6 aint they heavier??
