Do I really HAVE to use a 3 speed C9 on my 4.1 (to handle any decent power)?
I plan to fit at least 3.23 LSD gears if not higher and arent too keen on "cruising" the highways at 3000rpm.
DO the later BTR 4speed boxes hook up and can they be made to handle reasonable power 180+rwkw?

To be completely honest im a manual man but I dont really want to move away from teh "cruiser" theme of my Fairlane.

an electronic box will be hard but I think you may be able to fit a 4 speed hydrualic Turbo box from a holden if it fits in the trans tunnel. The custom adapters are around $700.
Or you could do what I did. Leave the 2.92 or whatever you have and fit a 351 in place of the 4.1 and have power and nice cruising to boot.

There is also the AOD box from the states - you get the overdrive and no computer to worry about. A few have found their way behind 351 clevo's.
