onefut Registered User Join Date: Feb 2004 Posts: 3	4spd to 5spd auto Hi Ive just bought a used auto trans for my 92 aerostar to replace my existing tired one. but Im pretty certain its off a newer model 94/95 which I believe is the 5r55 trans. Can i just put this trans straight in and will it work? there is a multi pin plug on the new box that has a lot more pins on it than the one in the same place on my existing trans.. I live in the UK so any help would be greatly apreciated also the trans is from a 4.0ltr and my van is a 3.0ltr will I need to use my existing torque convertor or the one with the used trans. thanx Onefut
