Does Anyone Know If U Can Still Run A Btr Auto (ea II) With Its Own Control Module If Its Behind A Carby'd Engine , Removing A Six And Fitting A V8 , Does The Auto Module Still Need The Engine Module Or Does It Only Need The Main Pcm Attached Just To Turn It On And Off?

auto ECU should operate independently of Engine ECU
but just note that you will still need to find a way to install the throttle position sensor as the computer uses this to determine shift pressures within the trans

The input shaft and bell-housing will differ between the I6 auto and your V8 you're planning to fit. I'd suggest a V8 auto from EB onwards. Are you planning on fitting a Windsor or Clevo?
