I am finally going to pull out the 3spd and drop in the 5spd. Just a couple of quick questions.

1. is the centre console the same 3spd to 5spd?
2. is the tail shaft the same 3spd to 5spd?

The centre console is exactly the same. The manual surround fits straight in where the auto surround is. As for the tailshaft, when I went from 3 speed auto to 5 speed manual in my Fairlane, and the tailshaft was exactly the same length.
