where do i fill up my transmission fluid?
it's probally a lame question and the anser is probally in my face.
but just to check anyone help?
87 ltd/zl fairlane. 3 speed on the floor.

Just fill up with tranny fluid straight down the dipstick tube. But use a funnel and pour in slowly as you can get an airlock which causes the fluid to spit back out!

driftagent...what XWish means is that all you do is pull out the auto trans dipstick from the filler tube (located near the starter...left hand side of engine)..and put in a ordinary funnel (you can buy em for a few bux at supercheap)...or (some auto trans fluid bottles have a rubber filler that you put down the filler tube)...and pour the fluid down!

Easy as that...but if your trans is very low or loosing fluid id get it checkout...could be the auto sump gasket deteiorating...happened a few times with me on both my XF's...or auto cooler hoses leaking etc..
