9" and C4

Hi,

I have an EA Twin Turbo. I would like to run a C4 with a 9" diff.

The C4 is stage 3 ready to go.

My questions are: Which diff gears would be the best 2:77.1, 2:92.1 or 3:27.1??

What diff out of which car would be acceptable??

Remembering that this car is driven on the street and strip and I like my top end. My rpm at 100kph should not exceed 2500rpm.

Thanks
Matt

Re: 9" and C4

But is that for a BW35 or a C4

The only reason I ask is because in a EA 3 speed (BW35) in first gear max speed 70kph
Redline 5000rpm (Guess)

I think the C4 is 90kph redline (5000rpm) in first gear same diff ratio

The ratios in the two boxes are different

Re: 9" and C4

Don't both 3sp autos have a 1 to 1 ratio in 3rd gear???

One of your conditions was for a 2500rpm max @ 100kph...

Re: 9" and C4

The third gear for both is 1:1 so in third they would be the same.

210+kph with 2.92 and 5000rpm I think, could be wrong tho, tyre size can change this by a fair margin.

http://www.perfectracing.com/techtip...tspeedcalc.htm <-- have a play with that. A stock tyres between 26 and 27" tall.

A 2.92 should do well it's enough to run 132mph which is in the 9 sec bracket 1/4 mile wise.
