i recently purchaced as 93 Grand Marquis, now when i'm driving normally it will shift fine however when i floor it it will rev higher then it should then surge into gear is this normal for the mercs? also in january this year the whole transmission was removed and had a master overhall kit, new aode torque converter, revers drum, epc solenoid, VSS sensor, reverse servor also the fluid change. the bill came to $2000. it still has the warranty is this something normal for the mercs or shuld i bring it back to the tranny shop n let them have a look at it?

i'd say its a problem, clutches are slipping, not enough fluid pressure. rpm's shouldnt flare up on a shift.
