well boz some T-cases and rears do reguire a special additive but i am not sure about your model.
the other thing that causes gear noise is when wear gets bad enough to change the contact patch on the gears.
usually a gear whine will reguire some type of rebuild to get the proper angle back.
as for the power steer pump i say if its noisy get a new one but if the noise is just from replacing fluid then you can try turning the wheels lock to lock a couple times and making sure the fluid level is OK after that it is just a matter of driving it a day or 2 to see if it clears up.
the other thing is if you replaced the whole rack and left the old pump that would be why it makes noise now too.
