Question 97 F-250 auto shifting hard

HELP!!! I have a 97' F-250 HD 4WD. Sunday the transmission started shifting hard in 1st & 2nd gear and the OVERDRIVE "Off" light is blinking. I immediatly took it to get serviced the next day, but no change. Tranny has about 120K miles on it.
