danielflading Registered User Join Date: Feb 2004 Posts: 3	98 Contour, 4th transmission rebuild 118K miles has anyone else had a problem with there automatic transmission in a contour with the 24V V6 2.5L Duratech? I can not believe that the transmission is made so poorly that we have had it rebuilt 4 times and it is slipping again? the first 2 trnsmissions were done by a Ford Dealer, the last two by a tranny shop. What gives? is this tranny a bad design, or do we have a lemmon? this is my wifes car who drives it very nicely, no hot rodding and it just will not last. Dan
