I have a 91 ford crown vic with a 351 in it. I recently killed the transmission in it and im trying to replace it. I got another aod out of a thunderbird i think and there is one thing that is different about it. The shift lever on the transmission is the opposite direction then the one on my old dead aod out of the vic. The question I have is can i change this lever easily? is there a clip or nut inside the transmission that i could take off and just switch the two levers? Or how about just cutting part of the lever off and welding it onto the good transmission in the right position. Dont have much experience with transmission so any help would be good, its snowing in mass and need my winter car because my camaro doesnt handle to well in the snow.
