Aode

I cant seem to find much on these trans's and avalability of them in aus. I know they are reputed to handel the power better than the Aussie 4speed. Im looking at doing the turbo route, and my current 4speed is dieing a rather bad death. Slipping. droping from drive into neutral at stops, no downshifting etc.

What would be the better approach.

Fix my EA 4speed and strengthen it.
Get a kitted 4 + highstall
Look into a Highstalled AOD.

Cheers

Re: Aode

I'd go with the AOD + high stall.

personally, i like them because theyre a 4 speed mechanical box...i dont really like electric ones...but thats just me :)

Re: Aode

Apparently the AODE internals are stronger than teh AOD, as us shops put AODE internals into AOD boxes to strengthen them. Might be something to look for. Fully mech box would be nice, but im assuming the cost of a good AOD (read: AODE internals but still mechanical) would be above that of a rebuilt BTR.
