AU Auto behind SC 302w
ok here is the deal,
building a supercharged 302w and now we have two options:
use an AU suto tranny and use the electronic shift "thingy", however we run into trouble b4hand. bellhousing and torque converter arent the big issue, however how can we controle the tranny, in factory AUs theu use the ECU, but what if fitted to a completely different car (in this case not a falcon)? also what HP do the take before they break?
the otehr option is use the W58 with steel sandwich plate we have atm and use an adaptor to marry it to the 302w block with a nicely machined flywheel and heavy duty clutch.
the thing we have to keep in mind, it is for a daily driver/work ute (yes yes laugh a supercharged V8 as work ute), and it has to be fairly quickly in shifting for some decent 1/4mile times, which might not be so easy in manual, as well as manual V8 driving can be tricky ...
