Definitly you'll gain a stronger off the mark acceleration. At 100km/h you would be doing about 2100rpm -2150rpm as opposed to 1850rpm.
As to wheel spin i don't think it would be too overwhelming. Infact for an auto falcon i would consider a 3.73:1 final drive.
