There was an "Fully independant sports IRS including LSD" that was optional on the Series 3 Ghia, according to the original sales brochure. TS50 also had the IRS/TC and LSD combo. So it is possible !

I was of the understanding that traction control took the place of LSD??
Well yea it does , but TC cuts engine power when the breaks cant cope with slowing the wheels down , so it makes the car REALLY sluggish - LSD dosent .

You press the button on the dash to turn off the traction control if you want to drive it hard.
Honestly the traction control is a good thing in the wet and even with an LSD you might want to keep it on most of the time. If it starts to interfere with your fun then turn it off.
