Well my AU series III XR6 is having gearbox problems again and keeps dropping down a gear when it shouldn't. It has also been reving wierd when its hot. Would it be a serious problem or just maybe a computer fault?

take it to your ford dealer / service centre. in my experiance, they're quite helpful.

If they aint, and make it seem impossible to get help, try another one, and send a letter of complaint to the one you tried.. apparently they take it quite seriously.

U sure it's the gear box. sounds like what happened to me in my EF XR6, it was a electonic chip componet problem, they replaced it and never had another problem with it.

yeah it isnt the gearbox, something to do with a computer in the car, booked in for friday.
