Arrow AU workshop manuals?!

hey guys,

I have been ripping apart every screw, nut and bolt in my AU lately, and every time I do, I swear and carry on about not having a manual, so I should finally buy one of the bloody things!

are gregorys the only people who make them, or is there any one else?

what manuals would people recommend, and roughly how much where they, if you wouldnt mind.

cheers

steve

I've got a Haynes one. picked it up from Kmart or Big W for about $40. It's not the best - some of the instructions are really clear with great pics, but others are crap with the instructions on one page and photos over the page.

Still, I've used it to pull just about everything off the car except the front guards and the engine/gearbox. So it has come in handy.

Ford Manual ! Yeah - Expensive, but if you are going to keep the car for any length of time, go the ford manual.
Got one for the EL - it fantastic, tells you everything, every connector, every wire. Has wiring diagrams for the whole vehicle.
It basically tells you everything to strip the car to a shell and put it back together again . . .

ok, gee $180 bucks was more then I was hoping to to spend, but it may be worth it.

I had alook at the gregorys one today but it only covered up to 2000 AU's and mines a 2001. What are the changes that it wont cover? who has this book with a newer car, any problems found??

also who here has actually got the proper ford book, and would you buy it again, or go for the cheaper one.
Does the ford book list part numbers?

thanks for the help guys

steve

I have access to both Gregory's and Haynes and I would rate the Gregorys the better of the two, I emailed Max Ellery of Ellery publications late 2002 to see if they were going to do a AU1 -3 manual and he replied that one should be out March 2003,I have'nt seen them yet so I guess keep looking, cheers
Bill.
