it's finally happened, I'm up for a new clutch. just wondering what people recomend i should use on an AU1 XR6?

I have rang a couple of places some have recomended PBR and another place Daikin. Any ideas as to where best to take it and roughly how much it will cost? I'm based in melbourne

Should i bother with a heavy duty or just a standard replacement?

Any suggestions welcomed

How hard do you drive it?
I usually find PBR clutches to be good, and I drive fairly hard but don't ride the clutch.

I drive it pretty hard and like the heavy feel of the AU clutch so i want something that will be similar to whats in there now

go the Daikin one - the friction plate is about as big as you can possibly fit, so it has a lot of torque handling capacity, and the weight is perfect, i put one in my car after the 'heavy duty' one died, it would have cost me less to get the daikin clutch when i first got the car instead of waiting for it to wear out, as the 'heavy duty' one managed to destroy every single clutch component in the car before it wore out (cable, pedal box, firewall etc).

get the Daikin one its brilliant!

Hi i just got my au11 xr6 manual i have broken the clutch pedal it has a heavy dutie clutch any ideas cheapest way to get it out some say dash has to come out costs over $600 just for that and to install not to fix... Any help...

Got a panel beaters to do it cheap..Ford was way to much over 2 times the price..
