yesterday we took my mums new AU2 for a spin up in the adelaide hills. beautifully smooth and very enjoyable. however, when it came time to steep decents we encountered a problem. we cant get the gearbox to kick back to 3rd or 2nd with the t-bar. it does seems to be able to hold them back while accelerating though. is this a common problem?
cheers.

no i havent had it, either have I noticed it in my either of my parents au's.
will it go into fourth? i did have a problem, where it went into 'limp home' mode and would only use 3rd I think, but this doesnt sound like that...
it should still be under new car warranty though shouldnt it?? if it is take it to the dealer!

were you holding the throttle flat at the time or just moving the T bar back? they might have programming that only shifts it back under full power?
my au2 will shift back under just a slight increase of throttle, is that what you mean?
