Hey guys, I have just bought myself an EA Wagon. It has a 3 speed auto. The auto leaks fluid causing it to slip a bit. When the fluid is topped up, it changes fine, so I will just try and find the leak and fix it. But, I would really like a 4 spd. I believe that it is the EA2 that had the 4spd auto. I was wondering if it was possible to exchange the 3 spd with the 4 and whether the computer really minded. Or is it more complex than that?
u would have to get a computer off a series 2 EA, or a v8 falcon eb-el should work also but not completley sure.
if u get the mounts of a 4sp EA then i would assume it would bolt straight up but ive also heard a T5 manual mount needs to be used.
if u post this up in the E-series discussion u will definitly get the answers ur lookin for
