Hi,

I'm looking at going manual.
Now i'm building a new motor (4lt w/ boost) and is expected to be 300+rwkw
So will a T5 be alright or should i go the manual out of the AU's?(i heard they were stronger)

Also what price am i looking at for he hole conversion. Computer isntan issue coz it will have a Microtech to run the engine.

As far as I'm aware mate the T5 will **** itself at that amount of power. I know they aren't ford boxes, but you should sorce yourself a manual box out of a toyota supra. You can get them adapted for falcon's pretty cheaply. Just ring a few jap wrekcers and you should find a box easily enough. All up you could get the conversion done for around $3k. These boxes should handle that power comfortably. I'm not an expert on the topic, but I've been advised that this is the way to go if I wanted forced induction and a manual transmission.

Get one from a turbo supra. They are reputed to handle that sort of power.
The AU box will not fit in your EF due to the fact that the shifter is further back (longer extension housing - can't be changed without changing the mainshaft = too hard).

buy a Street Machine mag and find the add that has the Supra gearboxes in it they do 5 and 6 speed boxes that can handle up to 600 hp and u could get on for agound $2K or maybe less
