I think the Auto Trans on The AU is on her last legs. When I am driving (any speed) and hold it flat, the car revs its guts out as if in neutral, then when it hits about 5-5500 revs, drops down and goes. Also sometimes I will hold it flat and it wont go down a gear, making it really slow to speed up.
I am pretty sure she is going to go, (not happy, only 38,000kms) but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
cheers
steve

happened to a mate of mine the same thing, all it was is the somthing was loose in the box, he had it tightened and its still going..
Maybe he was just lucky.. but there is a line of hope.
Also get the pressures tested by a transmission place, it may be a solnoid?
Goodluck anyway

possibly low on fluid because of a leak, but i dont think these have dipsticks to check with
The same symptoms happened on my dad's AU2, it was just an Auto Transmission fluid leak so it was low on fluid but there is no dipstick to check the fluid level yourself
