I had this problem put to me by the cars owner.
He said as he pulled up in his garage and placed his BA Falcon into Park it proceeded to roll on for 30 to 40 cm.
Next day he took it out ,faced it down a slope put it into Park no roll on at all.
Has anyone any ideas. Car done approx 50,000km

have you driven and tried it yourself it sounds like it is just resting on parking pall.

It all depends on where the park pall ends up when you stop the car. Sometimes it will have to roll a bit before it locates on the mechanism. Maybe you should introduce him to to handbrake lever..........

Never rely on a parking pawl.... ALWAYS use the handbrake.
