Does the auto shifter in the BA falcon still drive a cable to the box, or is it all controlled by solenoids.
I want to put one in my car, but i need to know if P-R-N-D is still cable operated.�

Its o.k., i have answered my own question. But if your interested, they are cable selected for P-R-N-D, and are then electronically controlled from there. If you want one, original shifter from an XR is $330. Qutoe supplied from Miedecke Ford Port Macquarie.

Are you gonna put a BA shift in your EB, so you can have sequential-style shifting???

Yes i am. As i am converting to AOD-E, i can tune an after market trans computer for both manual and auto shift, and i intend to use the BA shifter in the same manner it works in the BA's.
I just hope it all goes well.

Just a quick question for all who have read this post, if i could supply a Trans ECU chip, and shifter + instructions to install, do you think it would be something that people would buy. Keeping in mind, you would get identical functionality from your shifter as it works in a BA. Of course it would be available for EA-ED, EF-EL and AU.
Do you think people would buy it��

Personally, I would be interested for the right price - but then I'm always interested in anything to do with cars!

Any idea how much we would be looking at (noting that just the shifter is $330, so I'm guessing around $700 all up)
