anyone got any idea if a BA T5 gearbox will fit easily into an ED XR6?

If not directly, what sort of modifications would have to be done to get it to fit/work?

45,000km service coming up - and i'll be asking for a sizable list of fixes:
* Gearbox (3rd time)
* Steering click (5th time)
* Brake Shudder (2nd time, and has the applied "Fix")
* etc...

Box will be two inches too long, has no speedo system, and has a semi integral bellhousing to suit hydraulic only. Mount is different, input shaft has a different spline and is longer. Why?

nothing stopping you putting T5Z (xr6t/auV8) internals into an older T5.

What sort of ratios does the T5Zs have. In fact it would be good to compile a list of ratios for ford boxs

T-10 (had many ratios avaliable but this was the most common)
